After being reminded many times by my cousin, who has now grown into a truer shopaholic than myself, that the waiting list for the new smaller size Tata Baby handbag is now rolling at Shine, I finally managed to squeeze in some time and dropped by the shop today.

With my ‘friendly’ discount, the small size ‘xeroxed’ Hermès handbag works out to be just under HK$1600 – not bad for an early investment for Spring. There were selections of the original large size (the Birken) and the new medium size (the long Birken) and small size: in blue, pink, grey and, the new, studded version. Surprisingly, just a quick search on the internet before my little 5-minute shopping spree, imitation versions are marked up to HK$2500 on Yahoo. Huh? Is much better to go for the real thing. The only downside is that the order doesn’t arrive till March.
