I know it’s pointless to keep apologizing on my blog post for being late, so I promise that I will try my best to post these events on a more timely fashion like my fellow blogger friends. Now… get ready for a week of events, all the biggest and hottest fashion shows in town. Starting with the Marc Jacobs Autumn/Winter 2011 fashion presentation and party that took place on August 18th at The Landmark Atrium. This season, Marc Jacobs takes a new turn from his Spring/Summer 2011 boxy outlines and gives this collection body hugging silhouettes with fitted mid-length skirts and tailored coats – there was also an abundance use of polka-dots too. Making a clever use of the brand’s shop location on the second floor, the set of escalators near the shop were incorporated into the fashion show as part of the runway for the models – giving the audience a nice surprise. I’ve been to many parties and fashion shows that took place here but this was the first time that I’ve seen it done this way. It was awesome! Oh, and I love the mini bite size meringues, please keep them coming!!
