Okay peeps, get ready for the world’s first touchscreen watch that has a silent vibrating alarm and timer. Just tap the flat surface and the touch screen lights up, then swipe through functions including clock, alarm and timer. The Mutewatch features built-in motion sensor that registers your movement and automatically adjusts the strength of the vibrations, so that whether you are sleeping, exercising or working, the Mutewatch will keep you up-to-the-minute. The Mutewatch was a sell-out at its launch in its hometown Stockholm, and subsequently, Paris, London, New York, Moscow, Tokyo and Hong Kong. Rumour has it that Karl Lagerfeld bought three pieces at the watch’s launch in Collete, Paris. I’m thinking maybe Mr. Lagerfeld likes that fact that it constantly vibrate! Available in three colours: white, black and red, with adjustable strap – now, it’s time to go get yours. Check out the video from the Mutewatch Launch Party at Voo, Berlin.

The Lane Crawford x Opening Ceremony party which took place on April 14th was one of the most fun-filled parties the Lane Crawford ifc has hosted to date, or as far as to all the ones I’ve been to in the past. The store was extensively decorated and it had a lively carnival atmosphere. I didn’t notice that there were any special discounts for VIP shoppers on the capsule collection or the Chloë Sevigny X Opening Ceremony collection like the last VIP shopping night so I had my impulse in total control. Overall, the event was quite fun and the hours just went by so quickly that we didn’t get to leave and sit down for dinner till 9pm. I love the invitation with the stickers. I was going to save it for my nieces but then I forgot to RSVP so I had to stuff it in my purse and bring it to the event then bring it back. Founders of Opening Ceremony, Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, and international celeb Chloë Sevigny was said to make an appearance to unveil their first-time three-way collaboration collection with Lane Crawford, but I must have been too caught up at the mini-burger or hotdog stand that I didn’t spot them. So readers, sorry I missed them this time. There’s no photo of them, so I’m making it up by including photos of myself. (Not saying I can equally measure up however.) And I’m sure the photos of the party, some provided by my brilliant friend, will keep you just as happy.

It was absolutely a fun night out for me and my girlfriends last Thursday, March 10th, when Lane Crawford threw a VIP cocktail shopping night in welcoming the new season. Titled ‘Create & Inspire, Spring/Summer 2011’, the shop floors of the Lane Crawford ifc were filled with shoppers, celebrities, socialites, models, fashionistas, editors, you name it. There were refreshment bars sponsored by Belvedere, food stations, photo booths, DJ and music – even an artist doing live painting. But none of these really mattered to me and my clan of shopaholics, because once we arrived, we found out that as platinum members, we’re entitled to a lucky draw for cash coupons worth up to HK$1000 with purchases of HK$3,800 and above. Cash coupons did you say? Okay, this is my weakness. With that in mind, you can imagine that we used the rest of our time there, in a frenzy, hunting down items that would nicely add up to that figure – or not. I don’t call myself a shopaholic for nothing, but look at my picks, wouldn’t you agree that I should take them home with me too?

Thank you to my friend who offered me one of these pretty Belvedere glasses to take home.
Just want to show you how my friend is sporting her Hermès Kelly bag nicely with the new Oxford shoes she got from Zara. Oh… and the Chanel nail varnish in Riva (powder blue) from the Chanel Cruise 2011 collection.
What I got. Clockwise from top, Pierre Hardy iPad case in cube pattern HK$1,950; Moschino Olivia in costumes scarf HK$ 1,600; Jessica Kagan Cushman Ripped Off by Chanel bangle HK$1,600.
I’m going to use this as a clutch for now and maybe for the iPad later if I get one.
Totally!
This is a bit random, but I have to buy it because my father always say that I look like Popeye’s girlfriend.
Then she spoke to me… Alexander Wang Emile Burlap Hemp Tote, HK$6,300. Last one – only one. We all thought it was a Givenchy or a Celine but you can’t get them at this price.
