A cocktail party was hosted on November 29th to unveil the ‘Garment with Photography of James Reeve Landscapes’ exhibition by Dries Van Noten at The Fringe Club in Central. The exhibition was opened to the public between 30th November to 12th December. The Belgian designer especially flew in town for the event so lucky for those of us who got to meet him in person. Oh boy, was I excited to meet him? Needless to ask, I love his work. Dries is as good as Tom Ford to me. Actually, better than Tom Ford! I’ve been in love with this label as long as I can remember and there was never one season or collection that I dislike. So nice to finally meet you!!!

If this event is in the December issue of Harper’s Bazaar, then I guess it is not too late for me to run it on my blog. By all means, the Loewe Spring/Summer 2012 trunk show and party that took place at the Central Ferry Pier 4 on October 19th was one of the best party of the year. Not only were the indoor and outdoor venue areas luxuriously decorated to allow guests enough comfort whilst they were there, but also, the brand’s CEO, Lisa Montague, and Creative Director, Staurt Vevers, were present to host the evening and shake hands with the VIPs. Scroll down below and check out the beautiful Spring/Summer collection fashion show.
Let’s start doing some ‘What I Wore’ like my fellow bloggers – it seems this is the way to go:
On Me from Head to Toe: Earrings, Lane Crawford Dress, Victoria Secret multi-way dress (It’s awesome, all girls should have one, you know how I like to collect clothing and accessories that are versatile.) Clutch, Chloe iPad case Watch, Roger Dubris Shoes, ValentinoSpring/Summer 2012 Trunk Show:

It’s a weird funny feeling seeing yourself in a magazine when you are really not very use to it. Today I woke up to this email in my inbox from my Auntie Olivia with the subject titled FYI, there was no message in the email but one attachment. Once I opened the attachment, it was a news-clipping. Oh goodness?! I thought. I’m on the social pages again. Last time, I was featured on a free supplement from Oriental Daily News called Flash On, pictured below, from The Swank event. This time, it was from the Loewe event that I went to with her back in October. Luckily, I liked my makeup and the dress. Of course, out of curiosity, I wrote back to ask her which paper we are featured on, then she says, “you’re on Harper’s Bazaar December.” December? The Harper’s Bazaar? I said in disbelieve. OH MY GOODNESS! Let my knees get a little weak for a sec!!! You mean mizzshopaholic is on Harper’s Bazaar? Just like Vanity Fair… and Vogue…? OMG… I don’t care what anyone says, I’m not a girl who is after fame, but… come on, this is awesome. Yuppie yay!! Time to do some positive PR for mizzshopahoilc!
Thank you to Harper’s Bazaar! Thank you to the wonderful Editor! Thank you Loewe! And thank you Auntie Olivia and Adrian at Loewe.
